What is the dependency for constructing, opening, or operating a Crown Gold Exchange business?
Crown_Gold_Exchange Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
This MUDA does not give Franchisee the right to construct, open, or operate a Crown Gold Exchange business, and Franchisee acknowledges that Franchisee may construct, open, and operate each Crown Gold Exchange business only pursuant to a separate franchise agreement executed pursuant to this MUDA for each such Crown Gold Exchange business.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's ability to construct, open, or operate a Crown Gold Exchange business is contingent upon having a separate franchise agreement. Specifically, while a Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUDA) may be in place, it does not, in itself, grant the right to construct, open, or operate a Crown Gold Exchange.
This means that even with a MUDA, which outlines the development schedule and territory for multiple Crown Gold Exchange locations, each individual location requires its own franchise agreement. The franchisee must execute Crown Gold Franchising's standard franchise agreement, which must occur no later than three business days after securing a location through leasing or acquisition.
This requirement ensures that Crown Gold Exchange maintains control over each franchise location, even within a multi-unit development plan. It allows the franchisor to assess the franchisee's ongoing compliance and financial capacity before each new location is opened. Therefore, prospective franchisees should understand that securing a MUDA is only the first step, and each subsequent location requires a separate franchise agreement to be fully authorized to operate under the Crown Gold Exchange brand.
