What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crown Gold Exchange's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the definition of 'System Standards' does include cleanliness. The document defines 'System Standards' as the mandatory procedures, requirements, and standards determined by Crown Gold Franchising. These standards encompass a wide range of aspects related to the operation of the franchise.
Specifically, the definition explicitly includes 'cleanliness' along with other factors such as appearance, business metrics, customer service, design, equipment, inventory, marketing, operating days and hours, presentation of marks, product and service offerings, quality of products and services, reporting, safety, technology, uniforms, and vehicles. This means that Crown Gold Exchange franchisees are obligated to adhere to the cleanliness standards set by the franchisor.
Furthermore, the FDD emphasizes the franchisee's responsibility to maintain a neat and clean business. Franchisees must also perform appropriate maintenance and keep all physical property in good repair. The document also states that System Standards may include requirements for cleaning, maintenance, and repair. This indicates that maintaining cleanliness is not just a suggestion but a mandatory aspect of operating a Crown Gold Exchange franchise, and failure to comply with these standards could potentially lead to consequences as outlined in the franchise agreement.
