What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crown Gold Franchising offers several avenues of advice and support to Crown Gold Exchange franchisees both before and after their business opens. Before opening, Crown Gold Franchising will advise franchisees on selecting a location based on their criteria, review potential locations submitted by the franchisee, and provide standard building plans and specifications. They also offer pre-opening training for the Principal Executive and up to two other employees, and will advise on the market introduction plan. On-site opening assistance is provided for at least 3-5 days.

Post-opening, Crown Gold Franchising will provide advice via telephone or electronic communication to help franchisees improve their business and resolve any operational problems they encounter, provided Crown Gold Franchising deems it reasonable. If in-person support is requested and provided, Crown Gold Franchising may charge a fee plus out-of-pocket expenses. Crown Gold Franchising will also provide recommended prices for products and services upon request, as well as recommended administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, and inventory control procedures.

This multi-faceted support system is typical in franchising, where franchisors offer guidance to help franchisees succeed. However, franchisees should note that in-person support is not free after the initial opening period, and fees and expenses can be charged. Also, Crown Gold Franchising only provides advice to the extent they deem reasonable, which leaves room for interpretation and may not fully address every issue a franchisee faces.
