What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Wisconsin Addendum does pertain to franchises sold in the State of Wisconsin. Specifically, the addendum is designed to ensure compliance with Wisconsin's statutes and regulations regarding franchises.
For prospective Crisp & Green franchisees in Wisconsin, this means that the standard franchise agreement is supplemented by an addendum that addresses specific legal requirements in Wisconsin. This Wisconsin Addendum is applicable if the franchisee is a resident of Wisconsin, or if the business will be located in Wisconsin, or if the offering or sales activity related to the Area Development Agreement occurred in Wisconsin.
Furthermore, the addendum clarifies that its provisions will supersede any conflicting terms in the standard Crisp & Green Franchise Agreement. However, the addendum is only effective if the jurisdictional requirements of Wisconsin franchise laws are met independently, without relying solely on the addendum itself. This ensures that the franchise adheres to Wisconsin law regardless of the addendum's existence.
