What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, confidential information encompasses a wide array of proprietary details related to the development and operation of Crisp & Green restaurants. This includes, but is not limited to, the specific ingredients, recipes, and preparation methods used for their food products. It also covers the site selection criteria for new restaurant locations, along with the architectural plans and specifications for building those restaurants.
Furthermore, Crisp & Green considers its sales, marketing, and advertising programs and techniques to be confidential. The identities of their suppliers, knowledge of product specifications, and pricing for food products, materials, supplies, and equipment are also included. Franchisees are expected to keep operating results and financial performance data confidential, except for their own restaurant's performance. Methods for inventory control, storage, product handling, training, and management are also proprietary.
Crisp & Green also designates its computer systems, software programs, and the entire Operations Manual as confidential. Finally, any information provided to the franchisee, their principal owners, or affiliates that is either designated as proprietary or confidential, or that would reasonably be understood as such, is considered confidential information, regardless of whether it is explicitly marked as such. This broad definition underscores the importance Crisp & Green places on protecting its trade secrets and operational methods.
