What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to have a Computer System that can record all sales information. This system must be set up to interface with Crisp & Green's system, allowing the franchisor to poll daily receipts figures from the franchisee's restaurant at any time from their headquarters.
The Computer System, which includes POS and inventory systems, electronic cash registers, computers, and other related equipment, has an estimated cost ranging from $13,000 to $25,000, assuming the POS system is leased and digital menu boards are purchased. This cost is subject to change based on market conditions and technological advancements. Franchisees are obligated to acquire the POS and inventory system from Crisp & Green's designated supplier.
In addition to the initial investment, franchisees can expect annual costs of $2,400 to $3,000 for maintenance, updates, upgrades, or support contracts for the Computer System. The FDD anticipates that updates and upgrades may be required by a third-party vendor during the term of the Franchise Agreement, and these will be at the franchisee's expense. Crisp & Green does not have a contractual obligation to upgrade the Computer System but may require upgrades from time to time, with no limitation on the frequency or cost of these upgrades.
