What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crisp & Green will not require substantial remodeling of a franchised restaurant more than once during any five-year period. However, Crisp & Green can require other modifications and additions to the restaurant's layout, decor, and general theme at any time.

This means that while a franchisee can expect a major remodel approximately every five years, they should also be prepared for more frequent, smaller updates to keep the restaurant aligned with Crisp & Green's current brand standards. These updates could include replacing fixtures, equipment, furniture, signs, and utensils, as well as interior and exterior repairs, cleaning, and redecorating.

The franchisee is responsible for maintaining the restaurant's condition and appearance to meet Crisp & Green's standards. If the restaurant does not meet these standards, Crisp & Green may notify the franchisee and specify the actions needed to correct the deficiencies. If the franchisee fails to take action within ten days, Crisp & Green has the right, but not the obligation, to perform the maintenance at the franchisee's expense, which can be automatically debited from the franchisee's bank account.

In the event of damage or destruction to the restaurant, Crisp & Green may require the franchisee to repair or reconstruct the restaurant according to their current layout and decor specifications for new restaurants, if feasible without incurring substantial additional costs.
