What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must have a high-speed broadband internet connection at the then-current minimum bandwidth specification. This is to ensure the proper function of the computer system and its interface with Crisp & Green's computer system. The franchisee is responsible for acquiring, operating, maintaining, and upgrading their own cash register and computer system. They are also responsible for how their systems interface with Crisp & Green's and third-party systems.
This requirement ensures that Crisp & Green franchisees can reliably process transactions, manage inventory, and communicate with the franchisor. The franchisee bears the risk if their systems are not properly maintained or upgraded, which could lead to operational issues and potential non-compliance with franchise standards.
Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific minimum bandwidth requirements to budget accordingly and ensure they can meet these technical standards. They should also clarify who the approved vendors are for the computer system and what the typical costs are for maintaining and upgrading the system to remain compliant with Crisp & Green's requirements.
