Training
Within 90 days prior to the opening of your Franchised Restaurant, you will be required to participate in "Crisp Academy," our initial training program. Your General Manager, Approved Operator (if applicable), and at least two other management level employees we approve, such as an assistant general manager and kitchen manager, must participate in Crisp Academy, which consists of three weeks of training conducted at our Corporate Restaurant located in Wayzata, Minnesota, or at another one of the Restaurants, via electronic media, or some combination of these options, in our discretion. The franchisee (or, with respect to entity franchisees, the Operating Partner or another entity representative approved by us) must also participate in the first week of Crisp Academy. Any replacement General Manager or Approved Operator must complete Crisp Academy to our reasonable satisfaction, and we may charge additional fees of $500 per day for the training for this replacement General Manager or Approved Operator.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Crisp Academy initial training program is approximately three weeks long. This training is required and must be completed within 90 days before the opening of the franchised restaurant. The training program features both classroom-style and in-restaurant live training. The training takes place at Crisp & Green's Corporate Restaurant in Wayzata, Minnesota, or at another restaurant location, via electronic media, or a combination of these options, at their discretion.
Specific individuals are required to attend Crisp Academy. The franchisee (or the Operating Partner/approved entity representative), the General Manager, the Approved Operator (if applicable), and at least two other management-level employees approved by Crisp & Green (such as an assistant general manager and kitchen manager) must participate. While Crisp & Green does not charge any fees for the first four members of the training group, they may charge $500 per day for every additional member.
Franchisees are responsible for all compensation and expenses, including travel, meals, and lodging, incurred by themselves and their training group while attending the training programs. If a new General Manager or Approved Operator is designated after the initial Crisp Academy training, they must complete the training to Crisp & Green's satisfaction within 30 days. Crisp & Green reserves the right to charge a fee for training any replacement General Manager or Approved Operator, potentially incurring additional costs for the franchisee.
