you send to the Initial Training, as well as for you and your personnel attending any additional training programs (whether optional or mandatory). You will be responsible for all compensation and expenses (including travel, meals and lodging) incurred by you and your training group in attending any training programs. In addition to the Initial Training, a member of our staff will provide additional training to you, your Operating Partner, your General Manager, your Approved Operator (if applicable), your assistant managers, and your employees at the Premises of your Franchised Restaurant during the week of the opening of your Franchised Restaurant, which may include one or more days prior to opening and one or more days of live training after opening (the "Opening Training").
We may provide additional training from time to time because (i) we have determined, in our sole discretion, that further training beyond the Opening Training is necessary to ensure a smooth opening of your Franchised Restaurant, (ii) we have determined, in our sole discretion, to provide additional types of required training to our franchisees generally, or (iii) you have requested additional training (collectively, "Additional Training"). What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering certain expenses related to training programs. Specifically, franchisees must pay for the compensation, travel, meals, and lodging expenses incurred by themselves and their training group when attending any training programs. This includes the Initial Training, Opening Training, and any Additional Training programs that Crisp & Green may require or that the franchisee requests.
For the Initial Training, Crisp & Green does not charge a fee for the first four members of the franchisee's training group. However, the franchisee is responsible for the expenses mentioned above for these initial trainees. If the franchisee sends additional members beyond the first four, they may be charged a training fee in addition to covering all compensation and expenses.
For Opening Training and Additional Training, the franchisee is responsible for all compensation and expenses incurred by themselves and their personnel, regardless of where the training is conducted. Furthermore, if Crisp & Green provides Additional Training, the franchisee may be required to reimburse Crisp & Green for their costs, including lodging, meals, and travel arrangements for the trainers, as well as a fee of $500 per day for each individual provided to assist the franchisee.
