What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are permitted to engage in marketing activities within the designated area of other restaurants, provided that such activities are conducted with other franchisees through a Local Marketing Cooperative. This means that Crisp & Green encourages collaboration among franchisees for marketing purposes. However, franchisees are prohibited from independently engaging in any marketing, advertising, or solicitation within another restaurant's designated area without participating in a cooperative.
This condition ensures that marketing efforts are coordinated and aligned with the brand's overall strategy. It also prevents franchisees from potentially undermining each other's marketing initiatives. By requiring participation in a Local Marketing Cooperative, Crisp & Green aims to maintain consistency and control over marketing activities across different locations.
This policy has practical implications for franchisees. It means that if a franchisee wants to market their restaurant in an area that overlaps with another franchisee's territory, they must do so in conjunction with that franchisee through an approved cooperative. This may involve pooling resources, sharing marketing costs, and developing joint campaigns. It also means that franchisees need to be proactive in establishing and participating in these cooperatives to maximize their marketing reach and effectiveness.
