What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, a franchisee must immediately discontinue any mode of internet communication directly or indirectly related to their franchised restaurant. This includes websites or pages associated with the restaurant.

Furthermore, the franchisee must take all steps required by Crisp & Green to transfer any domain name associated with the franchised restaurant to them. This may involve executing a Registrant Name Change Agreement with the applicable Registrar. To ensure compliance, the franchisee irrevocably appoints the then-current president of Crisp & Green as their agent and attorney-in-fact to execute all instruments and take all necessary steps to transfer such domain names.

This requirement ensures that Crisp & Green maintains control over its brand and online presence, preventing potential misuse or confusion after a franchise agreement ends. It is a standard practice in franchising to protect the brand's integrity and goodwill. Franchisees should be aware of this obligation and prepared to comply swiftly upon termination or expiration of their agreement.
