What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Crisp & Green Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must acknowledge the importance of maintaining uniformity and protecting the System. Specifically, prospective Crisp & Green franchisees acknowledge that they have read the Franchise Agreement and FDD, understand the terms, and accept them as reasonably necessary to maintain high-quality standards across all restaurants. This is to protect the goodwill of the Crisp & Green marks and the integrity of the System.
This acknowledgment highlights the importance Crisp & Green places on consistent operations and brand standards. By agreeing to these terms, a franchisee recognizes that adhering to the System is crucial for the overall success and reputation of the franchise network. This includes following established procedures, using approved products, and maintaining specified quality levels.
The franchisee also acknowledges that the restaurant industry is competitive and that success depends on their own abilities, efforts, and financial resources. They confirm they have not received any guarantees regarding revenues, profits, or the success of the business. This reinforces that while Crisp & Green provides a System and brand, the franchisee bears the ultimate responsibility for their restaurant's performance.
Furthermore, the franchisee must truthfully complete a Franchisee Acknowledgment form. This form likely contains additional attestations and confirmations related to their understanding of the franchise agreement and their commitment to operating within the Crisp & Green System. This comprehensive acknowledgment process underscores the franchisor's emphasis on ensuring that franchisees are fully aware of their obligations and the importance of maintaining brand consistency.
