What is the dependency regarding the approval of a Crisp & Green franchise application?

According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the approval of a franchise application is contingent upon a background and credit check. Specifically, Crisp & Green will reserve a Preliminary Designated Area exclusively for the applicant upon submission to a background and credit check. This area will not be offered to any other potential franchisee while the check is underway.

The reservation of the Preliminary Designated Area lasts until the earlier of two dates: 30 calendar days following confirmation that the applicant has submitted to the Background Check, or Crisp & Green's determination, based on the results of the Background Check and in their sole and absolute discretion, that the applicant is unsuitable to run a franchised Restaurant. This means that the applicant's suitability is a key factor in the approval process, and an unfavorable background or credit check could lead to the rejection of the application.

Furthermore, as part of the application process, the applicant will likely gain access to confidential information regarding Crisp & Green's business practices, products, and sales. The applicant acknowledges that this information is a valuable asset of Crisp & Green and agrees not to use it for any purpose other than developing Crisp & Green restaurants, nor to disclose it to any third party without prior written consent.
