What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Crisp & Green Franchise Disclosure Document, the costs for marketing materials may vary between restaurants. Crisp & Green may furnish franchisees with marketing, advertising, and promotional materials, including point-of-purchase (POP) materials, and may charge related administrative, shipping, handling, and storage charges. These costs are not uniform and can differ based on the individual restaurant's merchandising capacity.
Crisp & Green has the discretion to charge a National Marketing Fee, which can be up to 3% of Gross Sales, to cover advertising and marketing services. Currently, this fee is set at 2% of Gross Sales and is collected monthly along with royalty fees. The National Marketing Fee is used for various marketing activities, including creating video, audio, and written materials, maintaining an e-commerce website, and administering regional marketing programs.
While the National Marketing Fee contributes to overall marketing efforts, Crisp & Green does not guarantee that any particular restaurant will directly or proportionally benefit from specific advertising placements. Furthermore, Crisp & Green retains the right to modify or suspend the National Marketing Fee and related operations, providing franchisees with 30 days' prior written notice. This flexibility allows Crisp & Green to adjust marketing strategies and fee structures as needed, which may impact the marketing support and costs experienced by individual franchisees.
