What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the standards, specifications, and names of approved or designated suppliers are communicated through the Operations Manual and other communications. Crisp & Green provides franchisees with an Approved Suppliers List, which includes manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors, as well as an Approved Supplies List, which includes equipment, signs, stationery, supplies, and other necessary items.

Crisp & Green requires franchisees to purchase certain items from approved suppliers, including furniture, fixtures, art, décor, restaurant and catering supplies, technology, and site survey services. Franchisees must use proprietary or nonproprietary equipment and supplies specified by Crisp & Green and must purchase or lease designated equipment from approved suppliers.

If a franchisee wishes to use a brand or supplier not already approved, they must notify Crisp & Green and submit the necessary information, specifications, and samples for approval. A fee of $2,500 is required to cover investigation costs. Crisp & Green will then determine if the proposed supplier or brand meets their criteria, which include the ability to conform to specifications, reputation, financial condition, insurance coverage, and system uniformity. Crisp & Green may charge up to $1,500 per day if an unapproved brand or supplier is used until the unauthorized use ceases.
