What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crisp & Green's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor does not charge a fee for the initial Crisp Academy training for the first four members of the franchisee's training group. However, Crisp & Green may charge $500 per day for every additional member beyond the initial four. Crisp Academy is a three-week training program.
Crisp Academy is mandatory for the franchisee (or the Operating Partner), the General Manager, the Approved Operator (if applicable), and at least two other management-level employees. This training takes place within 90 days before the restaurant opens at the Corporate Restaurant in Wayzata, Minnesota, or another designated location.
The franchisee is responsible for covering all compensation and expenses, including travel, meals, and lodging, for themselves and their staff while attending any training programs. If a replacement General Manager or Approved Operator is designated after the initial training, Crisp & Green reserves the right to charge a fee to train them.
In addition to the initial training, Crisp & Green also provides Opening Training, consisting of seven days of on-site training around the grand opening, without charge. However, if additional Opening Training is deemed necessary, it will be provided at a cost of $500 per day for each individual sent to assist.
