What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Crepe De Licious Franchise Disclosure Document, upon the expiration or termination of the Franchise Agreement for any reason, the franchisee must immediately cease operating as a Crepe De Licious franchisee and discontinue operating the Restaurant, Kiosk, or Food Truck under the Crepe De Licious System or Marks. This means the franchisee can no longer represent themselves as part of the Crepe De Licious franchise.
In practical terms, this means a former franchisee must take down all Crepe De Licious signage, remove the brand's name from their location, and stop using any of Crepe De Licious's proprietary methods, procedures, or techniques. They must also return all copies of materials bearing the Crepe De Licious Marks, unless Crepe De Licious approves otherwise in writing. The franchisee is prohibited from implying any current or past connection to the Crepe De Licious System.
Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to immediately pay all outstanding sums owed to Crepe De Licious and its affiliates upon termination or expiration of the agreement. This includes any unpaid franchise fees, royalties, or other debts incurred during the term of the franchise agreement. Failure to comply with these post-termination obligations could result in legal action by Crepe De Licious to enforce these provisions and protect its brand and System.
