What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crepe De Licious's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a standard transfer fee of $10,000 is required when transferring a franchise to a new franchisee. However, if the transfer is to an existing Crepe De Licious franchisee, the transfer fee is reduced to $5,000.

Notably, a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is due upon the request for approval of the transfer, which is included in the overall transfer fee. This deposit is required to initiate the transfer process and is not returned, regardless of whether the transfer is ultimately approved.

In addition to the transfer fee, both the seller and the buyer must meet several conditions for the transfer to be approved. The proposed transferee must meet the current standards for new franchisees, complete the initial training, and sign the current franchise agreement. The restaurant, kiosk, or food truck must be refurbished to current standards, and all outstanding amounts owed to Crepe De Licious must be paid. The seller must also sign a non-compete agreement. These conditions ensure that the brand standards are maintained and that the new franchisee is well-prepared to operate the Crepe De Licious business.

Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these costs and conditions when planning to sell or transfer their Crepe De Licious franchise. It is also important to note that the franchisor's consent is required for any transfer, and they may withhold consent if these conditions are not met.
