What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crepe De Licious's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use specific computer programs and related materials developed for their operations. The software includes the Point of Sale (POS) system software. Franchisees are obligated to pay a technology fee for website hosting and other services, as well as a separate license fee for the POS software, which may be paid directly to the POS vendor or to Crepe De Licious, as determined by them. The purchase of the software license may include technical support.

Crepe De Licious franchisees are required to purchase computer systems from designated suppliers and must use the specified computer hardware and software, including the point-of-sale system. They must obtain the computer system, software licenses, maintenance and support services, and other related services from suppliers specified by Crepe De Licious, which may include Crepe De Licious or its affiliates. Currently, neither Crepe De Licious nor its affiliates are suppliers of the computer system, except for the services procured for the technology fee.

This means that as a Crepe De Licious franchisee, you will be required to use specific software, including a POS system, and hardware chosen by the franchisor. You will likely incur costs for technology fees, POS software licenses, and potentially technical support. It is important to clarify with Crepe De Licious whether the technology fee covers all necessary software and support or if there are additional costs. Also, franchisees should confirm who the designated suppliers are and what the typical costs are for the computer systems, software licenses, and ongoing maintenance and support services.
