What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crepe De Licious's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee or their employees develop any ideas, techniques, or products related to the operation of their Crepe De Licious franchise, the franchisee must disclose these to Crepe De Licious.
Crepe De Licious obtains a perpetual, non-exclusive, and worldwide right to use these franchisee-developed ideas. This means that Crepe De Licious can use these ideas anywhere in the world, forever, and is not restricted to a specific geographic area. The franchisee retains the right to use the ideas as well, as the license granted to Crepe De Licious is non-exclusive.
However, the franchisee is prohibited from using these ideas, techniques, or products without obtaining prior written approval from Crepe De Licious. While Crepe De Licious can freely use the franchisee's ideas on a worldwide basis, the franchisee's use is restricted and requires franchisor approval.
