What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crepe De Licious's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crepe De Licious may require franchisees to allow them access to their social media pages to manage content. This is part of Crepe De Licious's broader online policies and procedures, which franchisees must follow. These policies are subject to change as technology and the Internet evolve. Crepe De Licious retains the right to market on the Internet, including websites, domain names, advertising, and co-branding arrangements.
This means that as a Crepe De Licious franchisee, you might need to grant Crepe De Licious access to your social media accounts. This access would allow Crepe De Licious to manage the content posted on those pages, ensuring it aligns with the brand's standards and marketing strategies. It also highlights that Crepe De Licious maintains significant control over the brand's online presence and how franchisees can use social media for their business.
Crepe De Licious's online policy may even prohibit franchisees from using the brand's trademarks on social networking sites or other online platforms. Franchisees also cannot use domain names, addresses, locators, links, metatags, or search techniques with words or symbols similar to the Marks without approval. This level of control is not uncommon in franchising, as franchisors aim to maintain brand consistency and protect their trademarks.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Crepe De Licious's online policies and procedures in the Operations Manual to fully understand these requirements and restrictions. Understanding the extent of control Crepe De Licious has over online marketing and social media is crucial for franchisees to align their business operations accordingly.
