What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Crepe De Licious Franchise Disclosure Agreement, the document does not explicitly state that Crepe De Licious has any obligation to select or acquire a site on behalf of the franchisee. The agreement outlines the grant of rights to use the Crepe De Licious system and marks for operating a restaurant, kiosk, or food truck at an approved location, but it does not specify any obligation on the franchisor's part to find or acquire that location.
Without a specific obligation outlined in the FDD, it is likely the franchisee's responsibility to find and secure a suitable location that meets Crepe De Licious's approval. This could involve researching potential sites, negotiating lease terms, and ensuring the location aligns with the brand's standards and requirements. The franchisor's role may be to provide guidance and approval of the site, but not necessarily to source it directly.
Prospective franchisees should clarify with Crepe De Licious during their due diligence process what support, if any, the franchisor offers in site selection and acquisition. Understanding the level of assistance provided by Crepe De Licious in this crucial aspect of setting up the franchise is essential for making an informed investment decision. Franchisees should inquire about site selection criteria, approval processes, and any resources or expertise the franchisor provides to aid in finding a suitable location.
