What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Crepe De Licious Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise is granted for a Restaurant, Kiosk, or Food Truck at a specific location, referred to as the "Approved Location", which is detailed in Attachment A of the Franchise Agreement. The franchise is limited to this single, approved location. If a specific site hasn't been approved when the Franchise Agreement is signed, Attachment A will describe the Approved Location in general terms.
The document does not explicitly state what happens if Crepe De Licious disapproves of a proposed site. However, it emphasizes that the franchise is only valid for an "Approved Location." This suggests that without an approved location, the franchisee cannot operate. The agreement also states that the Restaurant or Kiosk must be located at the Approved Location and the Food Truck must always be located within the Territory.
Given this information, a prospective Crepe De Licious franchisee should clarify with the franchisor the specific procedures and potential consequences if a proposed location is disapproved. This includes understanding the criteria for site approval, the process for finding an alternative location, and any financial implications related to delays or the inability to secure an approved location. It would also be prudent to understand if there are any penalties or termination clauses related to site disapproval.
