Crepe_De_Licious Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisees are required to purchase computer systems from our designated suppliers. You must use the computer hardware and software, including the point-of-sale system that we periodically designate to operate your Crepe de licious Business. You must obtain the computer system, software licenses, maintenance and support services, and other related services from the suppliers we specify (which may be limited to us and/or our affiliates). Neither we nor our affiliates are currently suppliers of the computer system, except for the services procured for the technology fee described above.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crepe De Licious's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase computer systems from the suppliers designated by Crepe De Licious. This includes the computer hardware and software, including the point-of-sale (POS) system. Franchisees must also obtain software licenses, maintenance, support, and other related services from these specified suppliers, which may include Crepe De Licious or its affiliates. However, the document specifies that neither Crepe De Licious nor its affiliates are currently suppliers of the computer system, except for services procured for the technology fee.

Crepe De Licious maintains the right to designate themselves or their affiliates as approved suppliers for particular products or services, including proprietary software. If Crepe De Licious does become an approved supplier, they may derive revenue from these sales, potentially selling items at prices exceeding their costs. The list of approved suppliers can be updated in the Operations Manual, and franchisees can request the approval of a non-approved supplier by submitting samples and a written statement explaining why the supplier should be approved.

This requirement ensures that all Crepe De Licious locations use standardized computer systems and software, which helps maintain consistency and quality across the franchise. However, it also limits the franchisee's ability to choose their own vendors, potentially impacting costs and service quality. Franchisees should inquire about the current designated suppliers, the costs associated with the computer systems, and the process for requesting approval of alternative suppliers to make informed decisions.
