What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Crepe De Licious Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's obligation to maintain sufficient net worth is primarily relevant in the context of a transfer of ownership. Specifically, if a franchisee wishes to transfer their Crepe De Licious franchise to a new owner, the proposed transferee must demonstrate that they possess sufficient business experience and financial resources to successfully operate the franchise.

This requirement ensures that any new owner stepping in to take over a Crepe De Licious location has the financial stability and know-how to maintain the standards and operational effectiveness of the business. This condition protects the Crepe De Licious brand and the interests of other franchisees within the system.

While the FDD excerpt does not specify a particular net worth amount, it emphasizes the necessity for the incoming franchisee to meet Crepe De Licious's standards for financial resources. A prospective franchisee should directly ask the franchisor for specific details about the level of net worth and business experience required for a transfer to be approved.
