What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crepe De Licious's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees can promote their business through alternate online strategies, but with certain stipulations. While Crepe De Licious establishes a System Website with local pages for each franchisee, franchisees are not allowed to create or maintain any other websites or engage in electronic marketing without prior written approval from the franchisor.
However, the FDD states that franchisees can promote their Crepe De Licious business via alternate online strategies as long as they are consistent with the policies and guidelines outlined in the manual, which may be changed at the franchisor's discretion. Crepe De Licious retains the right to review all online content related to the franchisee's restaurant, kiosk, or food truck, including social media sites, blogs, and electronic communications, especially if they contain the brand's marks.
Crepe De Licious has the authority to request the removal of any questionable content or usage of their marks and may also require the franchisee to stop using their marks on these sites. This indicates that while franchisees have some freedom in online promotion, Crepe De Licious maintains control over brand representation and adherence to their standards.
