What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Crepe De Licious Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is authorized to use improvements developed by other franchisees, provided that Crepe De Licious has authorized the general use of such improvements.

This means that if a Crepe De Licious franchisee develops a new method, recipe, or technology that enhances the business, the franchisee must disclose it to Crepe De Licious and obtain written approval before using it. Crepe De Licious then has the right to allow all other franchisees to use the improvement without owing any royalties or fees to the franchisee who developed it.

This policy allows Crepe De Licious to maintain a consistent brand standard and disseminate best practices across the franchise system. However, it also means that a franchisee may not be able to exclusively benefit from their own innovations, as Crepe De Licious can allow other franchisees to use them without compensation to the originator.
