What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Crepe De Licious Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee and their designated manager must complete the Initial Training Program to the franchisor's satisfaction at least two weeks before opening their Crepe De Licious business. This initial training is provided at no charge for up to three people, including the franchisee, the designated manager (if applicable), and a third person of the franchisee's choosing. However, the franchisee must pay a fee of $2,000 for training each additional person.
The Initial Training Program is conducted either at Crepe De Licious's headquarters in Concord, Ontario, Canada, at a Restaurant, Kiosk, or Food Truck operated by a franchisee or their affiliate, or at another location they designate. The franchisor does not currently have a set training schedule but will conduct training sessions on an as-needed basis.
Failure to complete the Initial Training Program successfully may result in the franchisee being required to attend additional training programs at their sole expense or appoint another manager to attend the next available Initial Training Program, also at the franchisee's expense. Failure to complete the training program to Crepe De Licious's satisfaction after two attempts may lead to the termination of the Franchise Agreement. Additionally, the franchisee must also complete a training program with the POS system provider and Ecolab before opening their Restaurant, Kiosk, or Food Truck.
