Schedule for Opening
The typical length of time between signing the Franchise Agreement and opening the Restaurant, Kiosk, or Food Truck can vary from five to 12 months. You must schedule the opening of your Crepe de licious Business within 12 months after signing the Franchise Agreement. If you do not open your Crepe de licious Business within 12 months after you sign the Franchise Agreement, you will be required to pay us an Opening Extension Fee until you open. Some factors which may affect this timing are your ability to acquire a location through lease or purchase negotiations, your ability to secure any necessary financing, your ability to comply with local zoning and other ordinances, your ability to obtain any necessary permits and
certifications, the timing of the delivery of equipment, inventory, and supplies; the time to convert, renovate, or build-out your Restaurant or Kiosk; completing our Initial Training Program; and hiring and training a manager and other employees. You must comply with all ordinances, building codes, and permit requirements, and with any lease requirements and restrictions.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crepe De Licious's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, several factors can influence how long it takes to open your franchise after signing the Franchise Agreement. The typical timeframe is between five to 12 months. However, this can be affected by various factors related to securing a location, financing, and meeting regulatory requirements.
Specifically, the ability to acquire a suitable location through lease or purchase negotiations plays a significant role. Securing the necessary financing to fund the business is another critical factor. Compliance with local zoning and other ordinances, as well as obtaining all required permits and certifications, can also impact the opening timeline. The timely delivery of equipment, inventory, and supplies is essential, as is the time required to convert, renovate, or build out the restaurant, kiosk, or food truck.
Furthermore, completing the initial training program and hiring and training a manager and other employees are important steps that can affect the opening date. Crepe De Licious requires franchisees to schedule their opening within 12 months of signing the Franchise Agreement. Failure to do so may result in an Opening Extension Fee until the business is operational. Franchisees must also meet all pre-opening obligations, including receiving written notification from Crepe De Licious that all obligations are fulfilled, completing the initial training program, paying all due amounts, providing copies of required insurance policies, meeting all conditions stated in the Franchise Agreement, receiving all required permits and licenses, and ordering and installing all necessary fixtures, equipment, supplies, inventory, and computer systems.
