What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crepe De Licious's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering certain expenses related to initial training. While Crepe De Licious provides the initial training program at no charge for up to three people (including the franchisee and a designated manager), the franchisee must cover the costs of airfare, meals, transportation, lodging, and incidental expenses for all attendees. If additional initial training is required or more than three people need to be trained, the franchisee will be assessed an additional fee.
The estimated cost for these initial training expenses ranges from $2,500 to $10,000. These expenses are due as incurred and are paid to airlines, hotels, restaurants, and other service providers. This means a prospective Crepe De Licious franchisee needs to budget for these out-of-pocket costs in addition to the other initial investment expenses.
It is important to note that these are estimated costs, and the actual expenses may vary depending on factors such as the distance to the training center in Concord, Ontario, Canada (or another designated location), the duration of the training, and the number of people attending. Franchisees should also consider the potential for additional training fees if more than three individuals require training. Therefore, it is prudent for prospective franchisees to carefully estimate these costs and factor them into their overall financial planning.
