What This Means (2025 FDD)

The 2025 Creative World School Franchise Disclosure Document includes a section labeled "RECEIPTS" within Item 23. However, this section primarily focuses on the franchisee acknowledging receipt of the FDD itself from Creative World School. It outlines the franchisor's obligation to provide the disclosure document at least 14 calendar days before signing any binding agreement or making payments. It also mentions specific state requirements, such as those in New York and Michigan, regarding the timing of FDD delivery. The document does not specify any conditions under which the franchisee must provide receipts to the franchisor or any other party.

This emphasis on the FDD receipt underscores the legal importance of ensuring prospective franchisees have ample time to review the franchise agreement and related documents before committing to the franchise. The FDD also advises franchisees of their rights to report any failure to deliver the disclosure document on time, or if it contains false or misleading statements, to the Federal Trade Commission and applicable state agencies.

Because the provided excerpts from the Creative World School FDD do not describe any situations where the franchisee is required to provide receipts, a prospective franchisee should ask the franchisor directly about any requirements for franchisees to provide receipts, for example, for purchases, marketing expenses, or other business-related transactions. Understanding these obligations is essential for managing finances and maintaining compliance within the Creative World School franchise system.
