According to the 2025 Creative World School Franchise Disclosure Document, the governing law for the franchise agreement depends on the state in which the franchise is located. For instance, if a franchisee operates in Illinois, the agreement is governed by Illinois law. Specifically, Section 20.7 of the Franchise Agreement is amended to state that Illinois law governs the Franchise Agreement and all related agreements.

For franchisees in Minnesota, the FDD states that Minnesota statutes prohibit Creative World School from requiring litigation to be conducted outside of Minnesota. Additionally, the disclosure document or agreement cannot reduce any rights provided under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 80C, or rights to any procedure, forum, or remedies provided by the laws of the jurisdiction.

For franchisees in Maryland, the general release required as a condition of renewal, sale, and/or assignment or transfer will not apply to any liability under the Maryland Franchise and Disclosure Law.
