What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Creative World School FDD, a franchisee can only relocate their Creative World School business with the franchisor's approval, which includes approval for both the relocation itself and the new site. The franchisor states that they apply the same considerations for evaluating the relocation of a Creative World School business and the leasing of the additional site as they do for new Creative World School businesses and sites generally.

The FDD specifies that the franchise is granted for a specific location that must first be approved by Creative World School. The new site for relocation must be within the franchisee's exclusive Market Area, which is identified on Exhibit "B" to the Franchise Agreement. Generally, the Market Area consists of the location of the school and the geographic area within a 5-mile radius around the location.

This means that a Creative World School franchisee cannot simply move their school to a new location without permission. They must seek approval from the franchisor, and the new location must fall within their designated market area. This ensures that the relocation does not infringe upon other franchisees' territories and that the new site meets the franchisor's standards. Prospective franchisees should carefully review Exhibit B of the Franchise Agreement to understand the specifics of their Market Area and the relocation approval process.
