What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Creative World School Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Effective Date' is the date upon which the rider to the franchise agreement is entered into between Creative World Schools Franchising Company, Inc. and the franchisee. The rider amends the franchise agreement between the parties and is dated as of the Effective Date.
The rider serves as an integral part of the agreement, incorporated directly within it. However, in cases where inconsistencies or conflicts arise between the rider and the main agreement, the rider takes precedence, superseding the conflicting provisions of the original agreement. Terms that are not specifically defined within the rider will retain the meanings as defined in the original franchise agreement.
For prospective Creative World School franchisees, it's crucial to understand the 'Effective Date' as it marks the commencement of the legal relationship under the rider. Furthermore, franchisees should carefully review the rider's terms, as they can modify or override aspects of the original franchise agreement. This is particularly important in states like Illinois, Maryland, and Virginia, where specific riders address state-specific franchise laws and regulations.
