What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Creative World School's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to submit any advertising, promotional, and marketing materials not prepared or previously approved by Creative World School for approval. If the franchisee does not receive written disapproval within 30 days of Creative World School receiving the materials, approval is considered to be granted. Franchisees are prohibited from using any advertising or promotional materials that Creative World School has disapproved. The FDD does not specify a cost for this service.

Beyond the approval process, Creative World School mandates that all franchisee-led advertising and promotion be clear, factual, and adhere to ethical marketing standards and promotion policies set by Creative World School. Franchisees must allocate 0.5% of their gross revenues quarterly for local advertising and promotion, in addition to required marketing contributions and grand opening advertising expenditures that range from $7,000 to $15,000.

Creative World School retains the right to review a franchisee's financial records related to advertising and promotion expenditures. If it is determined that a franchisee has not spent the required amount, Creative World School can demand that the unexpended funds be paid into the Marketing Fund. Additionally, franchisees may be required to contribute to a local advertising cooperative, if one is established, up to 1% of their weekly gross revenues.

Prospective franchisees should inquire with Creative World School about any potential fees associated with the review and approval of advertising materials, as well as further details regarding the Marketing Fund and the criteria used to evaluate advertising expenditures.
