What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Creative World School FDD, the company may create artwork for use in schools. Specifically, Creative World School uses and promotes certain trademarks, service marks, logos, and other commercial symbols, including the trade and service marks "CREATIVE WORLD SCHOOL®," the design only mark described as "CHILDREN AND GLOBE" and other associated logos, designs, artwork and trade dress. These items have gained and continue to gain public acceptance and goodwill. The company may create, use and license additional trademarks, copyrighted works, Art, service marks and commercial symbols in conjunction with the operation of Schools.
This means that Creative World School retains the right to develop and implement new artistic elements within the franchise system. As a franchisee, you would be required to use any artwork or commercial symbols that Creative World School develops and approves for use within the schools.
While the FDD states that Creative World School may create art for the schools, it does not explicitly state that they will commission artists to create art for a franchisee's school. A prospective franchisee should clarify with Creative World School whether they offer art commissioning services or if franchisees are responsible for sourcing their own art within brand guidelines.
