You understand that we may periodically require you to renovate, refurbish, remodel, or replace, at your own expense, the real and personal property and equipment used in operating your Shop, and/or make one or more additional and/or material improvements to your Shop, when reasonably required by us to comply with our System Standards.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cream's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cream may periodically require franchisees to renovate, refurbish, remodel, or replace real and personal property and equipment used in operating their shops. These changes must be made at the franchisee's own expense.
This requirement is enacted when Cream deems it reasonably necessary to ensure the shop complies with the System Standards. System Standards are the rules and guidelines Cream establishes for its franchise operations. These standards cover various aspects, including the condition and appearance of the shop, equipment, signage, furniture, and fixtures.
The franchisee is responsible for maintaining the shop to meet high standards of professionalism, cleanliness, sanitation, efficiency, courteous service, and pleasant ambiance. This includes regular cleaning, repainting, redecorating, and repairing the premises, as well as repairing or replacing damaged, worn-out, or obsolete equipment. Cream retains the right to modify these System Standards and require franchisees to implement changes, which may involve additional capital investment.
