What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cream's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the training materials include the Brand Manual and other training and operations materials and manuals. The training team is led by the Vice President of Shops, Regis Duffy, who has 15 years of experience with Cream and its affiliates and 10 years of experience with the subject matters taught.
The Brand Manual contains System Standards and other suggested specifications, standards, procedures, and information for operating a Cream Scoop Shop. This manual may include separate manuals, newsletters, memos, or bulletins, as well as audio or video content, and other content available through digital means. Cream offers prospective franchisees the opportunity to view the Brand Manual before buying the franchise upon request.
Cream also provides an Initial Training Program for new franchisees. For the first Cream Scoop Shop that a franchisee develops, the franchisee (or the Principal Owner if the franchisee is an entity) and their Shopkeeper must complete the Initial Training Program to Cream's satisfaction. Cream controls the substance and duration of the Initial Training Program, which may be held virtually at a location of Cream's choice. Cream provides the Initial Training Program for up to three attendees at no cost, including the Mandatory Trainees, provided all attendees attend at the same time. Cream may vary the contents or duration of the Initial Training Program based on the experience, role, and responsibilities of the attendees, and other factors they determine. Cream also determines the timing, dates, and schedule of the Initial Training Program. If the Mandatory Trainees cannot complete the Initial Training Program to Cream's satisfaction, Cream may terminate the Franchise Agreement.
