What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cream's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for all costs and expenses incurred for all training provided by Cream. This includes expenses for both the franchisee and their personnel.
Specifically, the franchisee must cover all expenses, including wages, transportation, food, lodging, and workers' compensation insurance, for themselves and their Mandatory Trainees or any other personnel during any meetings, training courses, and programs, including the Initial Training Program. This financial responsibility extends to any additional or special guidance, assistance, or training that Cream agrees to provide upon request. In such cases, the franchisee must reimburse Cream and its representatives for all costs, including travel, food, accommodations, and living expenses.
Furthermore, if Cream determines that a franchisee is not operating their shop in compliance with System Standards and requires additional training for Mandatory Trainees, the franchisee is responsible for Cream's then-current additional training fee, which is currently $500 per trainer per day, plus reimbursement of Cream's costs and expenses. This comprehensive allocation of training-related expenses to the franchisee is a standard practice in the franchise industry, ensuring that the franchisee bears the financial burden of ensuring proper training and adherence to brand standards.
