What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cream's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is $40,000. This fee is due in a lump sum when the Franchise Agreement is signed. This fee is non-refundable.
For prospective Cream franchisees, this means that $40,000 is required upfront before beginning operations. It is important to note that this fee does not cover other initial investments such as inventory, which ranges from $16,000 to $21,000, or the gift card set-up fee of $149. These additional costs should be factored into the total initial investment.
Cream also offers an Area Development Agreement, which requires a Development Fee instead of the initial franchise fee. The Development Fee varies based on the number of Cream shops the franchisee agrees to develop. For three shops, the fee is $105,000; for four shops, it is $140,000; and for five shops, it is $150,000. This fee covers the initial franchise fees for each shop developed under the agreement.
