What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cream's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, fair dealing, and ethical conduct in all dealings with customers, suppliers, Cream, and the public. This requirement emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive brand image and fostering trust with all stakeholders. Cream also requires franchisees to secure and maintain all required licenses, permits, and certificates needed to operate the shop and to operate the shop in full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations.
In practical terms, this means that a Cream franchisee must ensure that their business operations are transparent, ethical, and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations. This includes providing accurate information to customers, treating suppliers fairly, and maintaining open and honest communication with Cream. It also involves promptly addressing any complaints or concerns raised by customers, suppliers, or regulatory authorities.
Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to provide Cream with copies of any notices received from any person, entity, or governmental authority claiming any violation of laws, regulations, permits, licenses, or agreements. This includes default notices from landlords or suppliers, violation notices from health or safety regulatory boards, and customer complaints alleging violations of law. This requirement ensures that Cream is informed of any potential issues that could impact the brand's reputation or the franchisee's ability to operate the business.
By adhering to these standards, Cream franchisees contribute to the overall success and reputation of the brand, while also mitigating the risk of legal or regulatory issues. This commitment to ethical conduct and compliance is a fundamental aspect of the Cream franchise system.
