What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cream's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee requires additional training beyond what is initially provided, they will incur additional costs. Specifically, Cream may charge a training fee, currently $500 per trainer per day, for extra on-site opening support if the franchisor determines it is needed to meet System Standards, or if the franchisee requests it and Cream agrees to provide it. This applies to both the first and subsequent Cream locations.
In addition to the daily training fee, the franchisee is also responsible for reimbursing Cream's costs and expenses associated with providing the additional training. These reimbursable expenses are not explicitly defined but would likely include travel, accommodations, food, and other out-of-pocket costs incurred by Cream's trainers while providing the support.
Furthermore, Cream states that franchisees are responsible for all expenses incurred by themselves and their personnel for any training, including wages, transportation, food, lodging, and worker's compensation insurance. This clarifies that the franchisee bears the full financial burden of attending any required or requested training programs, encompassing both direct fees paid to Cream and indirect costs related to employee participation.
