What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Crawlspace Medic Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be required to enter into software license agreements for software that Crawlspace Medic develops or acquires for use in its system. Currently, the specific software mentioned is Vonigo software. This means that as a franchisee, you may need to agree to the terms and conditions set by Vonigo to use their software within your Crawlspace Medic business.
It's important to note that the FDD states this is the current software, implying that Crawlspace Medic could change the required software in the future. If Crawlspace Medic switches to a different software, franchisees would likely be required to adopt the new software and agree to its licensing terms. Franchisees are responsible for maintaining adequate hardware and software to access the internet at the speed Crawlspace Medic requires.
Additionally, franchisees must use the email account provided by Crawlspace Medic and promptly respond to all emails related to the franchised business on a daily basis. Franchisees are also responsible for all technology-related fees, including software, internet access, license, and help desk fees. Currently, this technology fee is 0.5% of gross revenue per unit per month. Prospective franchisees should consider these ongoing technology costs when evaluating the Crawlspace Medic franchise opportunity.
