What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is solely responsible for the safety and security of the franchised business location. This responsibility extends to the franchisee's personnel, customers, agents, and the general public.
The FDD specifies that all matters of safety and security are within the franchisee's discretion and control. This means the franchisee has the authority to implement safety measures and security protocols as they see fit for their Crawlspace Medic location and vehicles.
Furthermore, the franchisee's indemnification obligations, as detailed in Section 15.6 of the franchise agreement, apply to any claims made against Crawlspace Medic regarding safety or security at the franchised location. This means that the franchisee is responsible for covering any losses, expenses, or liabilities incurred by Crawlspace Medic due to safety or security issues at the franchisee's business. This arrangement is typical in franchising, where franchisees generally bear the responsibility for day-to-day operations and related risks.
