Crawlspace_Medic Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
We may conduct mandatory or optional additional training programs, including an annual conference or national business meeting. If we require it, you must attend mandatory training programs that we offer for up to five (5) days each year, and an annual conference or national business meeting for up to three (3) days each year, at a location we designate. Failure to attend mandatory training, including an annual conference or business meeting is a default under the Franchise Agreement. We reserve the right to impose a reasonable fee for tuition and/or attendance for all additional training programs, including the annual business meeting or conference. You must also pay your transportation, lodging, meals and other expenses to attend any mandatory training program. If you fail to attend any mandatory training program, you are required to obtain the training at a location we designate, at your sole cost, which includes tuition at the then-current rate, plus all of your travel costs and our trainer's travel costs.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crawlspace Medic does reserve the right to charge franchisees for additional training programs. Specifically, Crawlspace Medic may conduct both mandatory and optional additional training programs, including an annual conference or national business meeting. If attendance is required, franchisees must attend these programs, which can last up to five days each year for mandatory training and up to three days for the annual conference or meeting, at a location designated by Crawlspace Medic.
Crawlspace Medic retains the right to impose a reasonable fee for tuition and/or attendance for all additional training programs, including the annual business meeting or conference. In addition to tuition, franchisees are responsible for covering their own transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses associated with attending any mandatory training program.
Failure to attend mandatory training programs constitutes a default under the Franchise Agreement. In such cases, the franchisee is required to obtain the training at a location designated by Crawlspace Medic, bearing the full cost, including tuition at the then-current rate, plus all travel costs for both the franchisee and Crawlspace Medic's trainer. This policy ensures that Crawlspace Medic franchisees stay current with required training, but it also means franchisees must budget for these potential costs.
