What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Crawlspace Medic Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to select a warehouse site within their territory that provides secure vehicle and equipment storage, ideally around 1,000 square feet for warehouse and office space. The vehicle used must also meet the minimum specifications outlined in the Operations Manual. Crawlspace Medic must consent to the location that the franchisee acquires.
The franchisee is responsible for equipping and outfitting their Crawlspace Medic location and vehicle as detailed in the Operations Manual, with Crawlspace Medic providing sample layouts and specifications. This means that the approved supplier list directly impacts the franchisee's ability to fulfill these obligations. Franchisees must use approved vendors for vehicle modifications, equipment, and potentially other build-out items, ensuring compliance with Crawlspace Medic's standards but also limiting their choice and potentially affecting costs.
The franchisee must complete all modifications to the location and vehicle, including equipment and signage installation, according to system requirements and approved plans. This must be done before the Opening Date, which is within 90 days of signing the Franchise Agreement (unless a written extension is obtained). Failure to comply with these obligations can result in Crawlspace Medic prohibiting the franchisee from opening the business. Therefore, the approved supplier list is critical for franchisees to meet these deadlines and standards for site improvement and vehicle outfitting.
