What promotional activities qualify as local advertising for a Crawlspace Medic franchisee's grand opening?

According to the 2024 Crawlspace Medic Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must spend at least $5,000 on local advertising and promotional activities within 60 days before opening and the first 90 days after opening their franchise. This spending is specifically to promote the opening of the Crawlspace Medic franchised business. However, all advertising materials must be approved by Crawlspace Medic.

Notably, the FDD specifies certain costs and expenditures that cannot be included in the local advertising spend unless Crawlspace Medic approves them in writing.
