Does Crawlspace Medic offer additional training programs?

satisfaction, we reserve the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement.
We may conduct mandatory or optional additional training programs, including an annual conference or national business meeting. If we require it, you must attend mandatory training programs that we offer for up to five (5) days each year, and an annual conference or national business meeting for up to three (3) days each year, at a location we designate. Failure to attend mandatory training, including an annual conference or business meeting is a default under the Franchise Agreement. We reserve the right to impose a reasonable fee for tuition and/or attendance for all additional training programs, including the annual business meeting or conference. You must also pay your transportation, lodging, meals and other expenses to attend any mandatory training program. If you fail to attend any mandatory training program, you are required to obtain the training at a location we designate, at your sole cost, which includes tuition at the then-current rate, plus all of your travel costs and our trainer's travel costs.
ITEM 12: TERRITORY
Under the Franchise Agreement, you have the right to establish and operate one (1) Crawlspace Medic outlet within a territory, or Area of Primary Responsibility (the "Territory"). You are required to establish a warehouse/office space located within your territory. The Protected Territory will be based on a particular area surrounding your Crawlspace Medic office and will include a minimum population of fifty thousand (50,000) dwellings with crawlspaces or partial basements. The Territory will be delineated by streets, highways, Zip Codes or other readily ascertainable geographic boundaries. The Protected Territory will be described in Attachment 2 to the Franchise Agreement prior to the purchase of a franchise, or in some cases, prior to the execution of a lease agreement. Population figures will be based upon the most recent available U.S. Census data at the time the Protected Territory is designated.
If you have an adjacent open territory, you may service customers from that territory, however that revenue does not count toward your Minimum Performance Requirement.
You are required to maintain the following Minimum Performance Requirements for Total Revenue during the term of your franchise agreement.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Crawlspace Medic Franchise Disclosure Document, Crawlspace Medic may conduct additional training programs that are either mandatory or optional, including an annual conference or national business meeting. If Crawlspace Medic requires attendance, franchisees must attend mandatory training programs for up to five days each year, and an annual conference or national business meeting for up to three days each year, at a location Crawlspace Medic designates. Failure to attend mandatory training, including an annual conference or business meeting, constitutes a default under the Franchise Agreement.
Crawlspace Medic reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for tuition and/or attendance for all additional training programs, including the annual business meeting or conference. Franchisees are also responsible for covering their own transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses to attend any mandatory training program. If a franchisee fails to attend any mandatory training program, they are required to obtain the training at a location Crawlspace Medic designates, at their sole cost, which includes tuition at the then-current rate, plus all of their travel costs and Crawlspace Medic's trainer's travel costs.
Crawlspace Medic also states that during the operation of the franchise, they will offer from time to time, in their discretion, mandatory or optional additional training programs. Additionally, upon a franchisee's request, or as Crawlspace Medic determines to be appropriate, they may provide remedial on-site training and assistance at the franchisee's premises. For any on-site remedial training, the franchisee must reimburse all costs for the services of Crawlspace Medic's trainer, including but not limited to the trainer's then-current per diem fee and all travel-related expenses, such as transportation, meals, and lodging.
