How much advance written notice is required for a Crawlspace Medic franchisee to renew their agreement?

According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must provide written notice to the company at least six months before the end of their current franchise term if they wish to renew. The initial franchise term is five years, and franchisees in good standing have the option to sign a successor agreement for three additional five-year terms, unless Crawlspace Medic decides to withdraw from the franchisee's territory.

To qualify for renewal, the franchisee must be in full compliance with the franchise agreement and have no more than three events of default during the current term. In addition to providing timely written notice, the franchisee must execute a new franchise agreement, pay a Successor Agreement fee of $1,500, maintain their vehicle with proper insurance and current trade dress, execute a general release, and comply with then-current qualifications and training requirements, including completing additional training.
